Play development and early learning programmes

This is our additional needs group. It is open to children age 0 – 3 years old, who may require a little extra support. It takes the format of Little Adventurers, where Parents/ Carers will stay with their children. The structured sessions allow children opportunities to play and develop their social and communication skills. We have input from local professionals and a higher Staff ratio, with lower numbers of children, to allow space to explore in a calm environment. Our sensory room is also open for use.

Sensory Explorers

This is our sensory and messy play session. These are for children age 0 – 3 and run in all areas for 6 week sessions.

Monkey Movers (9 - 24 months)

This is a 6 week programme for children that includes soft play for physical development to encourage crawling, exploring and rhymes to encourage movement and promotion of Speech & Language.

Little Adventurers (0 – 3 years)

Parents/carers and children 0-3 years are welcome to these weekly drop in play sessions full of fun and creative play.  We offer a relaxed and informal atmosphere for you and your children to play. Children will have the opportunity for free play, arts and crafts, a healthy snack, songs and a story.

Little Stars (2 - 3 years)

A programme for children in their pre pre-school year (term-time). This play based session provides a range of age appropriate activities which enhances all aspects of their learning and development as well as their imagination and creativity.

Little Explorers (0 - 1 year)

Our Little Explorers play programme is specifically designed for children under the age of one. This programme, runs alongside our drop in baby clinics.  A member of our early years team will deliver different weekly activities specifically designed for babies from birth to one. A wonderful sensory experience for our youngest children, with songs, messy play and a lot of fun.

Toddler Swim (1 – 3 years)

Toddler swim sessions are a stimulating and exciting introduction to water, promoting water confidence. This is a great opportunity for bonding with your child through songs, games and movements in the water.  A weekly swim improves your child’s cardio-vascular system and builds strength. Swimming can aid early walking; co-ordination and associated motor skills may also be improved.
