Postnatal Programmes

 

This is a relaxing 5 week programme for both parent and baby aged 8 weeks to 12 months.  This offers relaxation while learning massage strokes and gentle movements.  It provides one to one time with your baby which helps promote attachment in a relaxed and welcoming environment.  

This is a 4 week programme for parent and baby aged 5 to 18 months.  It is a great way for parents to communicate with their baby through touch and promotes interaction, stimulation, relief for colic and constipation and relaxation for parents and baby.  Exercising with your baby is a great way to help your body return to pre pregnancy condition.  

The Child Health Worker team provide postnatal home support up until baby is one year old.  Areas of support include infant feeding, tummy time, physical and emotional development and early language skills.  

This is a practical programme delivered within the home over 2 visits.  

First visit includes assessing baby readiness for moving onto solids at 6 months and up to date information around this.  

Second visit includes more practical support to prepare healthy and nutritious baby meals and how to do this safely.  

This is a group that works collaboratively with the Lisburn Health Visiting team.  With the expert skills of our breastfeeding champion, we will provide support, advice and guidance on alternative Mondays within Lisburn Library.  This is also an opportunity to meet new people in the community whilst providing an inviting and stimulating environment for children to play.  

This is a 6 week informal group for expecting mums and parents with babies up to 1 year.  Throughout the 6 weeks, each session is facilitated by the Child Health Team providing an age appropriate stimulating learning environment for babies to encourage brain development.  Our hands on child health team are there to provide mums and parents with topical information throughout the 6 weeks, whilst also giving support and reassurance around concerns around the norms of your child's first year.  As this is an informal group, it gives parents the opportunity to meet new people and build lasting friendships within your community.  

This is a 6 week baby sensory programme focussing on baby brain development and communication for babies aged 0 - 12 months through an arrangement of a rich and stimulating sensory based environment through interactive fun activities.  Our child health team will deliver a hands-on caring approach in supporting your babies needs providing weekly hints and tips to help your babies brain grow.
